Salary Range:  $42,000-$50,000 (or hourly equivalent based on individual state requirements)

About the Role

We are looking for a digital-savvy marketer and content creator to help grow Cricket Media’s audience across social media, content, email, and web channels.  This role is ideal for someone who understands how content performs online, enjoys and takes a hands-on approach to creating engaging social and video content, and can independently manage multiple projects, including key digital channels, and support marketing initiatives across the organization.  You will help bring Cricket Media’s voice to life across platforms while supporting the growth of our consumer audience. 

 

What You’ll Do

Social Media & Content

  • Plan and execute Cricket Media’s social media strategy
  • Manage the social content calendar
  • Create and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X
  • Produce short-form video and visual content for social channels
  • Monitor comments and engage with the community
  • Track performance and maintain social analytics dashboards

Blog & Content Marketing

  • Own and execute Cricket Media’s parent and family-focused blog
  • Maintain the editorial calendar and keyword strategy
  • Write, format, tag, and publish approximately one blog post per week
  • Partner with editorial teams to turn magazine themes into digital content
  • Monitor blog performance using analytics and optimize content accordingly

Email & Newsletter Support

  • Partner with email marketing specialist to:
    • Supply content, assets, and links for newsletter and campaign development
    • Contribute content and ideas for the CHIRP newsletter
  • Source visuals from the content DAM and image libraries
  • Coordinate updates to content portal and provide related URLs
  • Proofread and copy-edit email content

Web & Brand Content

  • Update content on the Cricket Media website using WordPress
  • Publish company announcements and press releases
  • Ensure site content remains accurate and current

Webinar Marketing Support

  • Create webinar registration pages and promotional copy
  • Build and distribute webinar promotion emails
  • Support webinar promotion through social channels
  • Assist with preparation of presentation materials and follow-up communications

Who You Are

  • A digital expert who understands how content performs on social platforms
  • Comfortable creating content — especially short-form video and social posts
  • Strong writer who can quickly create engaging copy
  • Curious, creative, and self-directed
  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects

Experience/Requirements

  • ~2–4 years in marketing, social media, content, or digital media
  • Experience creating content for social platforms
  • Familiarity with tools such as Canva, WordPress, and email platforms
  • Comfortable using AI tools to support content creation and workflows
  • Work authorization in the United States (required I-9 verification)

Familiarity with

  • Canva or similar design tools

  • Google Analytics
  • AI content tools
